Coverage Limitations

• No claim under $1000 or in excess of $125,000 is covered; this will not limit the size of the contract, only each claim
• The warranty is governed by the state law where the work is located
• The warranty is limited to one year after date of completion
• Any and all written change orders performed by a BuildersTrust association member in good standing are covered under the warranty provided that the contract has been forwarded to BuildersTrust as required.

The Process

By entering into a BuildersTrust warranty with your client, BuildersTrust assures the construction receivables on contracts. In the event there is a dispute, both parties first attempt to resolve the issue privately. If that is not successful, a claim is filed by either party with BuildersTrust. The filing party can choose to arbitrate up to one year of the project completion. The arbitration process is through an impartial third party. Once a ruling is made by an arbitrator, BuildersTrust assures compensation.

Homeowners can not purchase this product without their contractor's participation.

Yearly premiums for warranty, payable in yearly or monthly (except for under $50 K).
